Think Freedom is a comprehensive public art project sending a message of peace and freedom from the heart of Sarajevo to the region, all of Europe, the America’s, and the World. It incorporates sculpture, installation, performance, light, sound, film, the art of literary word, and new global communication technologies while connecting young generation with the universal power of art. It researches attitudes and ideas of new generations as a platform supporting new dialogues, interaction, and diverse aspects of their lives in the new millennia. As a Bosnian born New York sculptor, Edina Seleskovic, join hands with young students in order to create an urban spectacle and a masterpiece and share it with host cities providing an opportunity to connect globally through art creation.

Project Think Freedom began in Sarajevo in 2015 and it grew out of conversations with high schoolers about what culture and art mean to them are they forms of free expression and can they be tools to communicate to build and establish that which we have to work so hard to keep and that which is so easily lost…our freedom. Edina and the students, together presented at the newly rebuilt the Sarajevo City hall the first Think Freedom multimedia interactive installation, composed of thousands of sculptures that are individually made from two metal strips, like two hands or two messages folded into a shape of a bird, a symbol recognized in every culture and every religion as a symbol of moving forward, of transitioning, of hoping and dreaming.

More than that each sculpture is given life by a young student’s message handwritten on the wings. First installation photograph got published by the Associated Press as the Global Image of the Day and that photograph proved that art has the power to connect. First Think Freedom sculpture to leave from Sarajevo was a gold plated one on the papal plane in the hands of His Holiness pope Frances going back to the Vatican after his visit to Sarajevo, as the message and Think Freedom was no longer a small project. A call to present the installation in New York at Daag Hammerskjold Plaza came. But Edinawished more and the world needed more: ‘It is not just Bosnia that needs to stand up. We all do. ‘I wished to talk to high schoolers from all over the world, to have young artists collaborate with me, and to make ordinary people be a part of something larger than themselves.’

Currently Think Freedom is on its European tour, it has travelled from Sarajevo to Banja Luka, Novi Sad, Ljubljana, Skopje, and Rovinj and will continue to travel from southern to norther Europe, working with local partners in Bratislava, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Nicosia, Berlin and Vilnus. Next year it will be in Latin America and Asia, the year after that in Africa and Australia. The final installation will be in New York City with messages from all these kids installed together, next to one another in so many languages with so many ideas and one common hope for us to be free. On this tour a creative documentary is directed by Ahmed Imamovic and thoughts and ideas of local audience and community leaders for a publication are being collected, all to be presented with the installation in New York in 2020. Indigogo campaign is launched, in order to connect to many and to invite audience to become active participants in this art mission, creating a unified vision for the future.

Installation of the project Think Freedom from 2015 to 2020 will be presented in over 30 cities with the unique goal of uniting the concept of freedom in the today and the tomorrow, new ideas and contemporary art, while branding each city as the city of cultural innovation. The project joins cities by gathering over 10 000 messages of young people, asking over 600 community leaders in each host city for their ideas and guidance, and reaching over 30 000 000 audience members…from Sarajevo City Hall to Daag Hammerskjold Plaza in New York.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – 31 Oct, 2017 – On the site of a former slave plantation, the American Institute of Human Rights, an NGO comprised of international lawyers, international law professors, and UN Human Rights Defenders, facilitated The First Conference on Confederation and Human Rights Remedies.  The goal of the conference was to convene a broad cross-section of African Descendant community leaders from among the Black Native Americans, Moors, Black Nationalists, Muslims, Christians, Hebrews, and college students to educate and organize them into the vanguard of an internationally recognized nation. Participants came from as far as Belize and Guyana.  On an autumn weekend, the participants formally signed a “Declaration of Self-Determination” thereby confederating and declaring the formation of the “African Descendant Nation.”

“A colonial power (the United States) cannot unilaterally impose a national and Identity status on African descendant Americans”. Political and identity status must be chosen or elected under international law.  Status is everything and the United States cannot impose a ‘simple minority status’ on indigenous people” says Dr. Mustafa Ansari, Dean of the American Institute of Human Rights (AIHR). “African descendant people of the United States are indigenous which is consistent with history, democracy, international law, and early American population studies in the pre-colonial and post-colonial eras, which clearly show that the people called “Indians” are actually African Descendants.”

“This is the start of a nation-building process based on status which includes an election designed to effectuate Self-Determination.  We are following all the United Nation Conventions on Self-determination and the recommendations cited in the Report of the United Nations Working Group of Experts on African Descendants.  For the first time in history, African Descendants can choose who they are and increase their wealth, improve their educational system, reduce crime, and become the 12^th wealthiest nation in the world by plebiscite” says Dr. Mustafa Ansari, an International Law Professor, and Dean of the American Institute of Human Rights.  In April 2018, a panel of African-Descendant scholars and experts will convene in Atlanta at a conference entitled: “The African Descendant Nation and the United Nations Development Framework.”  The discussions will cover six thematic areas of country development: (1) Historical Context; (2) Democracy and Human Rights; (3) Economic Development, Trade, Investment and Job Creation; (4) Education and Culture; (5) Peace and Security; and (6) Sustainable Development, Quality of Life, and the Environment.  In addition to Atlanta, other cities slated for conferences are New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Oakland, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Houston.

Seven athletes representing Singapore at the prestigious Olympia Amateur Asia which was held in Hong Kong put their country on the map for fitness and bodybuilding. The team, part of the Singapore Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (SFBF) walked away with six medals at the biggest fitness and bodybuilding event in Asia, which was incredible with the event attracting over 400 athletes from around Asia, the Middle East and the UK.

“The three-day event in Hong Kong which ran from the 23rd to the 26th October 2017, saw the best of the best compete. The Singapore Team which was one of the smallest teams in the competition was up against strong competition, but they managed to stun the world of bodybuilding when six of the team made it to the finals where they won medals.” said Alex Michael Betts, SFBF President.

Thanks to the SFBF (Singapore Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) which is a non-profit organization, more people in Singapore are coming forward to take up bodybuilding and compete in the sport. “The vision is at the time of the end,” Daniel 8:17

Islam teaches that Issa (Jesus) was a prophet, though they say he did not come from the grave in spite of eye witnesses in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, who initially ran but were later willing to die for a risen Christ. “Would we die for a lie?” asks Dr. Richard Ruhling, author on current events and Bible prophecy. He offers the following explanations.

When asked about the end of the world, Christ said to understand the book of Daniel—another prophet that offers a panoramic view of the world’s empires from 2500 years ago to now.

God used imagery of fierce beasts of prey to show Daniel what the kingdoms of this world are like. The lion, bear, leopard and dragon in Daniel 7 foretold the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Grecia and Rome. Out of the dragon (Rome) grew a little horn that became great.

The Protestant reformers (like Luther who 500 years ago protest the papal abuses), saw the little horn growing out of the Roman Empire as the papacy, doing what verse 25 described, starting with a Sunday law by Constantine in 321 that the Bishop of Rome blessed to secure unity.

Then comes Islam in Daniel 8 represented by a Muslim ram by the River Ulai (Karun River by Kuwait where US troops deployed  after 9/11. The ram is pushing north (into Russia), west (into Europe and US) and south (into Africa) until it angers a goat that flies from the west to break its horns and stomp the ram.

Most readers say this was Alexander the Great that conquered the Medes and Persians because they are named in verse 20 (hundreds of years after Daniel lived.) But in a stunning view, Gabriel tells Daniel that his vision is “at the time of the end,” verse 17.

This suggests a double application as “history repeats,” and the God of the Bible is alone able to “see the end from the beginning.” (Isaiah)

The Medes and Persians are now Iraq and Iran. This vision is half fulfilled by Saddam’s death, and it also answers a huge question for Islam that comes from Abraham, father of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Abraham was tested over his love for God and willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac. But Islam says the son was Ishmael and they celebrate the saving of Ishmael by the sacrifice of a ram in their yearly ram sacrifice, Al-Adha. So was it Isaac or Ishmael–Which is the true holy book?

Daniel 8 suggests that Islam, not content with its part of the Middle East, will be sacrificed to spare Israel in spite of Iran wanting to drive Israel into the sea. (Israel was the son of Isaac after Jacob’s name was changed), spared by the ram in Genesis 22). Only the God of the Bible could give such breath-taking details centuries before they unfold, starting in Genesis with a ram caught in a Bush!

One more question that Muslims might have. Why would God allow “the Great Satan to conquer Islam when the US brought alcohol, tobacco, drugs, Hollywood, crime, sex, violence on TV, abortion, homosexuality, all things that the Bible condemns?

Daniel’s prophecy is about how the future unfolds. America will have its own time of judgment soon and after a military victory, the US’ “horn” also gets broken.

On the positive side, Christianity is a religion of loving our neighbor–others who need our help–treating them as we would want done for us. Christianity has elevated the role of women in society above so much abuse in other regions and religions.
