KINGMAN, ARIZONA – 2/17/2017 — General Manager of the Ramada Hotel in Kingman, AZ Sultan Abbas announced this week that the hotel is in the process of gaining all necessary approvals to build a helipad on the property. The helipad will be an additional feature of the hotel and available for all guests once approved.

“We are very excited to be able to add this feature to our property.” Abbas says, “We are in the final approval process right now and expect to begin construction of the helipad soon and expect we will have flights available beginning this summer.” Abbas added.

An application was completed and presented to the City Council to gain approval of the required text amendment, which was approved late last year, 2016. The final step of approval, the Conditional Use Permit, is expected soon.

“As soon as we obtain the Conditional Use Permit we will be able to begin Helipad construction, which I expect will happen within the next couple of months.” Abbas stated. “The final step is to reach an agreement with with a local helicopter tour company, create some flight packages and begin marketing.”

The hotel is also planning a Grand Opening special event for the launch of the new helicopter services as soon as a flight tour agreement is reached.

Kingman City Council President and CEO Gregg Martin says “We supported this idea because it will bring more attention and excitement to Kingman for all tourists that visit.” “Having a local hotel business that has a helipad is a great idea and will bring some great interest and energy to the City.” Martin added.
